GhostInTheShell: Building an Offline, Local-First Haunted Terminal with Gemma & FastAPI

GhostInTheShell is an offline, local-first developer terminal environment created for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge. Integrating Gemma and FastAPI, it features a haunted retro interface inspired by 1980s CRT phosphor terminals and Día de los Muertos. This spectral entity possesses the shell, reacting to commands and crash logs with eerie commentary. The system operates entirely locally using open-weight models, including a simulated ofrenda builder to honor forgotten open-source maintainers and digital pioneers within the machine.
