Giovanni Veronesi’s ‘Dio Ride’ to Close Venice Film Festival

The 83rd Venice Intl. Film Festival, running from September 2-12, will conclude with the out-of-competition screening of Giovanni Veronesi’s ‘Dio Ride’. Loosely based on mid-1600s events, the film follows Fra Leopoldo as he shares the Gospel with joy. The cast includes Pierfrancesco Favino, Silvio Orlando, Alma Noce, Francesco Gheghi, Maurizio Lombardi, Paolo Rossi, and Carlo Cecchi. Festival director Alberto Barbera confirmed the selection for the closing event of the prestigious cinema gathering.
