ChatGPT and Gemini both just passed 1 billion users

Google CEO Sundar Pichai announced that Gemini has reached 1 billion monthly active users, making it the fastest-growing product in the company's history. This marks the 14th Google service to hit this milestone. OpenAI's ChatGPT has also surpassed 1 billion users. Google reports that 63% of Gemini users interact with it directly, including voice-only users. While Gemini is integrated into Gmail, Drive, and Search, the 1 billion metric specifically refers to users opening the Gemini app.
