Android now has a tap-to-share feature

Google is introducing a tap-to-share mode for Quick Share, enabling users to instantly exchange files, photos, videos, and contact cards by tapping compatible devices together. This feature is currently rolling out for Pixel 6 series phones and newer models. Additionally, the update will soon be available for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Fold 8, and Flip 8 devices. This functionality serves as a modern redux of Android Beam for faster data transfers between Android smartphones.
