Google will let schools turn off AI, but they'll have to give up Search too

Google announced that schools opting out of artificial intelligence will also lose access to its search engine for students. The tech giant stated on Tuesday that students using Google software in classrooms cannot access the company's search engine unless their school system opts in to using AI. Consequently, educational institutions wishing to block AI tools must accept the complete removal of Search capabilities for their students within the Google ecosystem to maintain their restrictions.
