Grandfather was intoxicated when N.J. boat crash killed grandkids, charges show

Stephen Schneider, 64, has been charged with homicide following a fatal boat crash in Barnegat Bay. Authorities report that Schneider was impaired by alcohol while piloting his 30-foot Tidewater 280, causing the vessel to slam into a wood channel marker. The accident resulted in the deaths of his two grandchildren, Mya Bella Golabek and Sigmund Paul Golabek from Lacey. The incident occurred on July 19 at the Jersey Shore, leading to Schneider's arrest this Friday.
