GrassQuest: an offline scavenger hunt that gets you off your phone, powered by Gemma

GrassQuest and Gemma TrailMate are Hacktoberfest submissions designed to reduce screen time during outdoor activities. GrassQuest uses a local AI model to generate customized scavenger hunts with specific tasks based on location and time. Similarly, Gemma TrailMate acts as a voice-first companion that synthesizes active outdoor missions. Both tools prioritize minimal interface interaction, encouraging users to lock their phones and engage with nature, returning only to record their experiences after completing their AI-generated quests.
