Guillermo Del Toro Buries ‘Digger’ In Praise, Slams “Petty” Review: “Decidedly A Theatrical Experience”

Guillermo Del Toro has publicly expressed his admiration for Alejandro G. Iñárritu's satire Digger. Following the film's premiere to mixed reviews, the three-time Oscar winner used X to defend the Warner Bros. R-rated black comedy. Del Toro dismissed a negative review as a petty headline, describing the Tom Cruise movie as daring, bold, and cinematically complex. He emphasized that the film is decidedly a theatrical experience, firmly opposing critics who suggested viewers should wait to watch it.
