My First Hacktoberfest

Participants are engaging in Hacktoberfest 2026 to explore open source, practice contributing to projects, and learn about AI, databases, and programming. One individual is specifically participating in the Hacktoberfest 2026 DEV Challenges, focusing on the Weekend Challenge: Build for a Friend!. These contributors aim to connect with the community and utilize technology to build helpful tools for others, emphasizing that open source is fundamentally about community collaboration and learning new technical tools.
