Hegseth to Welcome Home USS Lincoln Crew After More Than 10 Months at Sea

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth presented the Presidential Unit Citation to the USS Abraham Lincoln carrier strike group upon their return from a lengthy Middle East deployment. Hegseth praised the crew for supporting U.S. military operations against Iran. However, the aircraft carrier's ten months at sea were plagued by concerns regarding food quality, a lack of supplies, and mental health crises among the crew. The award represents the highest unit honor for the returning naval personnel.
