Palatine man charged in alleged mass shooting plot targeting Hindu place of worship

A 19-year-old Palatine man, Alexandros Paporakis, was arrested Sunday for allegedly planning a mass shooting targeting a Hindu place of worship in Aurora, Illinois. Police foiled the plot, and a white supremacist manifesto linked to the suspect has surfaced. The detention follows investigations into the planned attack on the suburban religious site. Authorities have charged Paporakis in connection with the plot, preventing a potential mass casualty event targeting the local Hindu community in Illinois.
