Apple HomeView is getting ready to teach Google’s Pixel Tablet a home security lesson

Leaked strings in HomeView Software 27.2 reveal that Apple's upcoming HomeView smart home hub may function as a HomeKit Secure Video camera. Discovered by pdfu, the software includes four camera modes: Off, Detect Activity, Stream, and Stream & Allow Recording. The device supports 1080p/30fps video and microphone input, with scheduling for home, away, or asleep modes. These features, restricted to home members, provide security capabilities that the Google Pixel Tablet currently lacks.
