Lotus: Learning to Understand Time-series by Learning to Forecast

LOTUS introduces forecast grounding, a pretraining principle ensuring language-aligned time-series representations remain predictive of future evolution before downstream adaptation. This method maps non-overlapping patches of time-series channels into LLM embeddings. Separately, studies on JavaScript DOM manipulation highlight that event objects follow a capturing, target, and bubbling flow. While event objects are created during browser actions, they require an assigned event handler via .addEventListener to be executed, clarifying the relationship between event creation and handling.
