Tech Support Assistant: Help for My Parent with Local Gemma

Two developers submitted projects for the Hacktoberfest Weekend Challenge: Build for a Friend. One created a Family Tech Support Assistant using Gemma 3 4B via Ollama to simplify troubleshooting for parents through plain-language questions and screenshots. The other developed DigiPico, a gamified, mobile-first AI learning companion powered by Mastra and Gemma 4. DigiPico aims to make technology less intimidating for non-tech users by transforming the learning process into an interactive, welcoming game experience.
