HEIC vs JPG: Which Should You Use?

iPhone users often face compatibility issues with HEIC, a modern container format based on HEIF. While JPG offers universal support across all devices and browsers, HEIC is superior for storage efficiency. Simultaneously, 2026 data indicates that annual app subscriptions outperform monthly plans. Yearly plans show median first-year retention between 20% and 40%, compared to 6% to 14% for monthly options, while generating 50% to 60% more revenue per user, shifting industry consensus toward annual billing.
