Hubble Captures Star-Studded Cluster

NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope captured an image of Messier 3, one of the Milky Way galaxy’s most massive globular clusters. These spherical, gravitationally bound collections consist of ancient stars formed simultaneously from a single gas cloud. Approximately 150 globular clusters are known. Messier 3 is a densely packed cluster, and its origins may be attributed to a merger between globular clusters that occurred in the early universe, reflecting the nature of these ancient stellar systems.
