Hurricane Nolo predicted to bring ‘life-threatening flooding’ to Hawaii

Hurricane Nolo is predicted to bring catastrophic and life-threatening flooding to Hawaii this Friday, impacting communities still recovering from previous summer storms. Although the storm will move west on Saturday without a direct hit, forecasters expect heavy rainfall up to 25 inches and damaging coastal waves. Consequently, schools closed and over 230 Hawaii National Guard members were activated. Meanwhile, Hurricane Polo continues to threaten Mexico's Baja Peninsula after bringing storm conditions to the southwestern coast.
