Two new AI tools, NextRole AI and FreeApply, aim to automate the demanding job application process. NextRole AI is a free, open-source career workspace designed to reduce the workload of searching and applying. Similarly, FreeApply operates as a local stdio MCP server, allowing users to leverage their existing Claude subscriptions for automation. These tools handle repetitive tasks like resume updates and application submissions, preventing the job search from feeling like a second full-time job.
