TaskScribe – Local AI Voice Note Assistant

Two projects were submitted for the Hacktoberfest Weekend Challenge: Build for a Friend. TaskScribe transforms voice notes into actionable tasks to prevent audio files from being forgotten. Meanwhile, Fieldmate is a local voice assistant featuring document retrieval for nurses, allowing them to query PDFs, Markdown, or text files without an internet connection. Both tools focus on efficiency, with TaskScribe streamlining thought capture and Fieldmate integrating push-to-talk interfaces with offline RAG capabilities for professional document management.
