My WhatsApp Was My Open-Mic Booking System, So I Gave It to Gemma

A Bangalore stand-up comic developed a system for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge to manage open-mic bookings. Previously, WhatsApp messages were easily overlooked, causing unfairness in lineup curation. Separately, ParkEase introduced a skill called ponytail to combat AI over-engineering. This feature transforms the AI coding agent into a lazy senior developer, reducing unnecessary abstractions and complex code. The ponytail system uses a ladder of sequential questions to prevent excessive software architecture and simplify debugging.
