Judge denies request for ICE agent extradition

A federal judge denied a request from Minnesota to force Texas Governor Greg Abbott to immediately extradite a jailed ICE agent. The officer faces assault charges for shooting a Venezuelan man in the leg during a deportation surge in Minneapolis last January. Following the court's rejection of the attempt to keep the immigration officer jailed in South Texas, the agent was released from the Texas jail while the state continues its fight for extradition.
