Immigration and Customs Enforcement plans to spend up to $20m to equip officers with Glove devices by March. Manufactured by Compliant Technologies LLC, these Generated Low Output Voltage Emitter gloves deliver painful electric shocks to gain compliance from combative individuals. According to the manufacturer, the shock typically works in under three seconds. This initiative was detailed in a notice published Monday by the Department of Homeland Security to provide thousands of these devices to ICE agents.
