Indian Epic ‘Ramayana’ Lands at Sony Pictures for International Distribution

Sony Pictures has secured the international distribution rights for Ramayana, a two-part Indian mythological epic. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari and produced by Namit Malhotra's Prime Focus Studios, the big budget adaptation follows the story of exiled prince Rama and his wife Sita. While Sony Pictures manages all territories outside India, the domestic Indian distribution will be handled by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. This cinematic project brings the ancient epic poem to a global audience.
