iPhone Duo Gets a Virtual Walkman App Ahead of Launch

Developer Vidit Bhargava created Duo-Man, an app turning the foldable iPhone Duo into a virtual Walkman. Using BitRig's development environment, the app utilizes the device's hinge to mimic a cassette player's flip-open door. Users select music on the 7.6-inch inner display and snap the device shut to begin playback. To ensure authenticity, Bhargava recorded real Walkman static and button clicks. The project earned second place at a BitRig hackathon held in San Francisco.
