Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi welcomed Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Tuesday at Najaf International Airport in Iraq. Meanwhile, funeral processions took place in Qom, Iran, including at the Jamkaran Mosque, for the late Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Khamenei was killed on February 28 during airstrikes carried out by the U.S. and Israel. These events occurred as the region manages the aftermath of the strikes and high-level diplomatic visits.
