Archaeological excavations at Villa Celimontana in Rome uncovered an imperial-era Roman building. On July 30, workers cleaned a mosaic floor, which included a marine-themed mosaic. By July 31, recovered fragments of mosaics and painted plaster from the site were displayed. These discoveries provide significant insights into the imperial-era architecture and artistry of Rome, Italy, as the recovered materials and the cleaned floors showcase the historical richness found within the Villa Celimontana archaeological site.
