James Talarico has the edge over Ken Paxton in Texas Senate race: Poll

A poll from Texas Southern University’s Barbara Jordan Public Policy Research and Survey Center shows Democratic candidate James Talarico leading Republican Ken Paxton in the Texas Senate race. Talarico holds a narrow edge with 47% support compared to Paxton’s 45%. Additionally, the survey indicates that most Black Texas voters support Talarico. Only 7% of Black Texans who voted recently report being less likely to vote in November following Rep. Jasmine Crockett’s Democratic primary loss.
