Teyana Taylor received the BET Icon of the Year award presented by Janet Jackson during the 2026 BET Awards on June 28. The Oscar nominee and Golden Globe-winning actress expressed gratitude for her achievements as an artist, director, and producer, among other roles. Taylor stated she would wear the title loud and proud while reflecting on her monumental year.
