Kushner meets Hamas leaders to push Gaza demilitarization

Jared Kushner, envoy for President Trump, met with Hamas leaders in Egypt on Sunday to demand the group fulfill commitments to disarm and relinquish governing authority in Gaza. This first meeting since October aligns with efforts by the White House and Board of Peace to advance a U.S. 20-point peace plan. Kushner is scheduled to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday to discuss corresponding steps Israel must take, following Netanyahu's rejection of a previous proposal.
