Jeff Olson, a veteran visual effects producer and modelmaker, died on June 21 at age 77. Industrial Light Magic, the studio founded by George Lucas, confirmed his passing via Instagram. During his twenty-five year tenure at ILM, Olson worked on numerous high-profile projects, including Star Wars: Episode 1 The Phantom Menace, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and various Star Trek films. He served as a model supervisor and producer throughout his distinguished career in the motion picture industry.
