John Mayer Signs With Mercury Records

John Mayer has signed with Mercury Records after parting ways with Columbia Records in 2022 following the release of his eighth album, Sob Rock. In addition to this signing, Mayer is launching his own record label, Sob Rock Records. This new venture is being developed in collaboration with Mercury Records, a part of UMG. Mayer has described the collaboration with Mercury Records as a partnership that has already proven to be highly successful for his career.
