Lutnick floats new way to add Trump’s name to Kennedy Center

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick suggested that the John F. Kennedy Memorial Center could acknowledge President Trump for his role in proposed renovations. Simultaneously, the DOJ defended plans to inscribe President Trump's name on the center. During a hearing with U.S. District Judge Christopher Cooper, a DOJ lawyer insisted that these new inscriptions do not constitute renaming the facility and do not violate previous court rulings that had found similar changes to be unlawful.
