Trump loses longshot bid to erase hush money conviction

A federal judge has once again declined to erase President Trump's hush money conviction, ruling that his arguments were neither new nor legally sufficient. Trump sought to overturn 34 felony counts for falsifying business records following a Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity for official acts. Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein stated that discussions regarding hush money payments to cover up relations with Stormy Daniels cannot be considered an official act in a 35-page filing published Friday.
