Ken Atchity, Producer on ‘Joe Somebody’ and ‘The Meg,’ Dies at 82

Ken Atchity, a producer and literary agent, has died at age 82. Throughout his extensive career as a writer, producer, and literary manager, Atchity produced over 30 films, including The Meg, Joe Somebody, Hysteria, and Life or Something Like It. He authored more than 20 books and negotiated numerous entertainment and publishing deals. Additionally, he published hundreds of titles through his own imprint, Story Merchant Books, leaving a significant mark on the literary and film industries.
