Paramount+ has ordered the drama series Laird, an epic family saga set in the Scottish Highlands. Starring Kenneth Branagh as the Laird of Castle Drummoch, the story depicts his conflict with an American billionaire seeking to buy the glens. The project is developed by Jez and John-Henry Butterworth, the creators of The Agency. Additionally, Jez Butterworth is the co-creator and showrunner of the Paramount+ series Mobland, further expanding the platform's original programming slate.
