Disney says that Kingdom Hearts is now a 'billion dollar franchise'

Disney announced a new Kingdom Hearts anime series for Disney+ and Disney Channel during the D23 event. Developed with Tetsuya Nomura and Square Enix, the series reimagines the iconic adventure. Additionally, Square Enix revealed that Kingdom Hearts 4 will launch in late 2027, featuring a first Disney world based on the Pixar film Coco. Disney also confirmed that the Kingdom Hearts franchise has now reached a billion dollar valuation, marking a significant milestone for the series.
