L7’s Jennifer Finch Suddenly Passes Away at 59 After Battling Brain Cancer

Jennifer Finch, the bassist, singer, and songwriter for the veteran indie-rock and grunge band L7, has passed away at age 59. Her death followed a battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. A prominent figure in the 1990s indie-rock scene, Finch was recognized as a tireless champion of the genre. Earlier in her musical career, she also performed alongside Courtney Love as a member of the band known as Sugar Baby Doll.
