Xbox Reportedly Planning Big Layoffs For Next Month

Microsoft is reportedly planning major layoffs at its Xbox division after the fiscal year ends on June 30. Xbox CEO Asha Sharma admitted the business is not particularly healthy, citing a revenue decline of nearly half a billion dollars over the last five years. This occurs despite over $20 million in investments in the Xbox brand, excluding Activision Blizzard King, following previous expansions of the studio system to support various subscription and streaming content strategies.
