New Kent leaders poised to strike down proposed data center district

New Kent leaders are positioned to reject a proposed data center district. During a town hall meeting held on Thursday night, two board members expressed their opposition to the plan. This opposition provides the board with sufficient votes to deny the proposal. Meanwhile, opponents of a separate Google data center campus in Botetourt County demonstrated outside Lord Botetourt High School during a public open house event hosted by Google in June to voice their concerns.
