The Leonard Cohen Estate is objecting to President Donald J. Trump's promised use of the song Hallelujah at the Freedom 250 rally on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The estate learned the song was scheduled for performance during the event. President Trump indicated that opera singer Christopher Macchio would perform the piece on June 24. Consequently, the Leonard Cohen Estate has stated that it does not support the plan to use the song.
