LG Monitors Spotted Installing Adware-Like App on Windows PCs

Certain LG monitors trigger Windows Update to install an LG app without user consent. This software, identified as LG Monitor App Installer, runs automatically at startup and displays McAfee trial advertisements. Reports indicate that this adware-like behavior is not limited to recent displays, and users may be unaware that the application is currently running on their Windows PCs. The process occurs automatically upon connecting the monitors to the computer system.
