YouTuber claims LG TVs spy on users even when turned off

An investigation by Gamers Nexus, Level1Techs, and security researchers reveals that LG smart TVs allegedly spy on users. Testing on retail LG OLEDs showed devices constantly logging and uploading data, even while offline or in standby mode. The TVs reportedly scan Wi-Fi networks for nearby hardware, such as phones and smartwatches, and record audio logs. Additionally, they use audio and video sampling to identify content being viewed across various TV inputs, according to reports from The Verge.
