Lionel Richie undergoes heart procedure amid stop-and-go tour with Earth, Wind & Fire

Lionel Richie was hospitalized for the second time in nearly a month to undergo a common procedure for Atrial fibrillation. The singer-songwriter received treatment for an irregular heartbeat, causing further disruptions to his stop-and-go tour with Earth, Wind & Fire. According to his representative, the medical procedure went perfectly and Richie is currently doing great. However, he will take some time off to focus on his recovery before returning to his scheduled performances.
