Little Bighorn Battlefield 150th anniversary

Tribal leaders and members from nineteen tribes gathered in Crow Agency on Thursday, June 25, 2026, to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Battle of the Little Bighorn. The celebration featured a commemorative horse ride and a battlefield charge. Attendees viewed the monument, while Thomas Rockroads Jr., a Vietnam Veteran and Crow tribe member, played a whistle. The event included a series of historical activities to mark the significant anniversary at the battlefield.
