Illinois voters hit the polls with congressional power in the air on Election Day

Midterm elections are underway to determine control of Congress, serving as a litmus test for President Donald Trump's second term. In Illinois, voters decide if Democrats can stall the president's agenda while weighing in on Gov. JB Pritzker's third-term bid. This marks the first general election following Operation Midway Blitz in Chicago's minority communities. Simultaneously, voters in Florida are hitting the polls, contributing to the national results that will shape the final two years of the presidency.
