Germany set to become first international site for ATACMS missile production

Lockheed Martin and Rheinmetall signed a memorandum of understanding at the NATO Summit Defense Industry Forum in Ankara, Türkiye, to co-produce ATACMS missiles in Germany. This joint venture, backed by American and German governments, establishes the first international production site for the system. The move addresses a bottleneck as Lockheed Martin winds down ATACMS output at its Camden, Arkansas site to prioritize newer missiles, ensuring a stable supply of the missile system within Europe.
