Lockheed unveils PAC-3 Edge, its next-gen Patriot interceptor

Lockheed Martin has unveiled the PAC-3 Edge, a next-generation Patriot interceptor specifically designed to counter hypersonic threats. Tim Cahill, president of Lockheed missiles and fire control division, stated that the aerospace giant plans to invest hundreds of millions of dollars of its own cash into the missile. These financial commitments will also include additional investments focused on the development of the interceptor's seeker and its solid rocket motor to enhance overall system performance.
