Elementary school teacher charged in disturbing murder of sister-in-law on Long Island

Joseph Horner, a Long Island elementary music teacher, has been charged with the disturbing murder of his sister-in-law. Prosecutors state that Horner acted on long-term desires for the victim, which began in 2017. The crime occurred while his wife was out of town attending a bachelorette party, during which time Horner allegedly raped and strangled the woman. The legal proceedings are now addressing these violent actions committed by the educator against his own relative.
