Hundreds killed, more than 1,000 missing after Himalayan flood

A catastrophic flash flood triggered by a collapse of ice, mud, and rock into a mountain river has left hundreds dead and over 1,000 people missing across Nepal and China. Rescuers continue searching debris-strewn valleys and hillsides for survivors. Additionally, a magnitude 5.0 earthquake struck Tibet on Thursday, located hundreds of miles north of the flood area. Despite the seismic activity, no damage has been reported following the earthquake in the Tibet region.
