Maine’s drought conditions keep getting worse

The U.S. Federal Food Drug Association has recalled twelve products in one week, a rate four times higher than the previous year. Recalls include salmonella in granola, salad dressing, jalapenos, and animal food, alongside glass in popsicles and metal in sourdough. It remains unclear if this spike results from increased enforcement or more hazardous food. Simultaneously, the U.S. Drought Monitor reports that nearly 900,000 residents in Maine are currently experiencing various levels of drought conditions.
